Gully Royale — Beginner's Guide

🏆 Goal

🎯

Be the last player standing out of 20. Eliminate enemies, stay inside the safe zone, and survive 8 minutes.

🗺️

You drop into a dense Indian city. Loot weapons fast, then hunt or hide — your call.

👥

19 AI bots roam the map. They get tougher as your kill count rises — the more you frag, the harder they push back.

🟠 Safe Zone

⭕

An orange circle on your minimap marks the safe zone. Stay inside — outside deals 20 HP/sec damage, which gets lethal fast.

⏱️

The zone shrinks 7 times over 8 minutes, forcing everyone into an ever-smaller area. Watch the timer bar at the top of the screen.

⚠️

A big red warning flashes "ZONE CLOSING!" — that's your signal to run immediately.

❤️ Health & Shield

💊

You start with 100 HP. Find health kits (green pickups) to heal. Blue shield absorbs damage before HP does.

🛡️

Look for Armor pickups (rare) to grant a 75-point shield. Always grab armor before fighting.

💡 Pro Tip for New Players

Don't rush kills early. Land near the Market or Rooftop Colony, grab a weapon quickly, then let the zone push enemies to you. Fight on your terms!

💡 Aiming Tips

On desktop, click the game area first to activate pointer lock for smooth aiming. Press Esc to release. On mobile, slow steady drags on the right side give better accuracy than quick flicks.

🔵 Pistol — Starter Weapon

Slow rate of fire, decent accuracy. Good for close range when you have nothing else. Swap it out ASAP.

🟢 SMG — Submachine Gun

Fast fire rate, good for close-quarters fights in narrow lanes. Spray and pray in alleys.

🟡 Shotgun

Devastating at close range — one-hit knockdown potential. Terrible at distance. Perfect for Market and Old City alley fights.

🟠 Assault Rifle — Best All-Rounder

Accurate, good range, solid damage. Versatile for any zone. Grab this whenever you see it.

🔴 Sniper Rifle — Epic Rarity

Massive damage, long range, slow fire. Ideal from rooftops at Metro Site. Headshots deal 1.5× damage.

🎒 Loot System

📦

65 loot drops are scattered randomly across the map each match. Walk near a pickup to auto-collect it (within 2m).

You have 3 weapon slots. Empty slots auto-fill; full slots prompt a swap. Keep varied weapon types for different situations.

💊

Health kits come in Small (+30 HP) and Large (+70 HP). Always heal after a fight before pushing further.

🌟

Glowing pickups = rarer items. Brighter glow = better loot. Sniper rifles glow red/orange.

💡 Loadout Strategy

Best combo: AR + Shotgun + Sniper. Use Shotgun in close buildings, AR for mid-range fights, Sniper for picking off enemies from rooftops before they see you.

Move at 200% speed for 3 seconds. Great for crossing open ground or escaping the zone.

Absorbs 60 damage for 4 seconds. Activate before pushing or when taking fire.

Reveals all enemies within 50m for 5 seconds. Perfect for scouting before pushing.

Stuns enemies within 10m for 2.5 seconds. Use to break enemy pushes or create kills.

Rajan — Quick Heal

Instantly restores +50 HP. Longest cooldown but can save your life mid-fight.

Creates a smoke cloud for 5 seconds. Blocks enemy vision — use to escape or reposition.

💡 Best Pick for Beginners

Rajan is the safest choice — instant healing bails you out of trouble. Once comfortable, try Dev for information advantage or Arjun for aggressive roaming.

🗺️ Map Zones

🏚️ Old City Lanes (North-West)

Tight alleyways, 4–9 storey buildings, warm saffron walls. Great for ambushes. SMG and Shotgun shine here. High loot density in corners.

🛒 Market Area (North-East)

Colorful market stalls, awnings, open bazaar streets. Medium-range fights. Great early loot — lots of weapons here. Beware of exposed areas between stalls.

🛕 Temple Courtyard (Center)

Open ground around a 16m golden spire. Dangerous — you're exposed from all directions. The zone often shrinks to this point in late game. High-skill zone.

🏘️ Rooftop Colony (East)

25 connected rooftop buildings with wooden walkways. Jump between buildings for parkour. Excellent sniper positions. Hard to reach = safer camping zone.

🏗️ Metro Construction (South-West)

Grey concrete, orange scaffolding, tall crane. Good vertical cover. Rare loot spawns here. The crane platform is a legendary sniper nest.

🦘 Parkour Tips

Jump near building edges to land on rooftops. You can chain jumps across the Rooftop Colony to travel the entire East side without touching ground.

📍

Height advantage = huge combat bonus. Enemies on ground are much easier to hit than enemies above you.

🔍

Use Dev's Sensor Pulse from a rooftop for a wide-area scan — you'll see enemy positions across half the map.

💡 Winning Strategy

Early game → Market (fast loot). Mid game → Rooftop Colony (height + safety). Late game → follow the zone toward Temple Courtyard and fight for position. Don't be the last one running to the zone!
