📜 The Legend of the Aswang

In the province of Silong, nestled between emerald rice fields and ancient mango groves, life follows the rhythm of the sun and soil.

By day, farmers tend their paddies, fishermen cast their nets, and traders barter goods in the plaza. Children play in the dusty streets as the kalesa clatters past the old stone church.

But the province holds a dark secret. Among the villagers walk the Aswang — shapeshifters who appear as ordinary people by day. Their true forms emerge only at night, hungry for flesh and blood.

When the full moon rises, they hunt. No locked door can stop them from claiming those foolish enough to wander outside. The garlic on your windowsill, the buntot ng pagi above your door — these are your only wards.

Learn to recognize the signs: an Aswang's reflection is inverted. They cannot cross salt. Their eyes glow red in torchlight. A real person's shadow falls forward; an Aswang's points toward them.

Survive. Build. Harvest. And never, ever go outside on the full moon.
